This is ALL so flipping exhausting. This regime is a completely insane clown show while @ the same time, a seriously demented & dangerous group of sycophants. I long for the days when it wasn’t a part time job to monitor & resist this shitshow of fascists. I’m old. I’m tired, & yet I’ll fight on, since democracy, by its very definition, has to be participatory, it’s worth it, & the stakes are too damn high. Thank you for keeping us informed, Charlotte.
As a constituent of Ron Wyden I concur with your opinion. He’s the farthest from grandstanding, a straight shooter. So his public letter is serious indeed.
Senator Wyden is one of our (OR) two excellent Senators.
I have been very concerned with the possibility that our government's firewalls have been penetrated by foreign actors; especially since the Cybersecurity Unit within DNI, the entity responsible for maintaining scrutiny against incursions within the federal government was largely dismantled in the early days of the regime (Tulsi Gabbard's “ODNI 2.0”).
Gabbard has been long known as an apologist for Putin and Syria's al-Assad:
I have no idea what the letter might be about, but since it was released to the public, it must be serious indeed. Sen. Wyden has never been a grandstander, so the topic is one of national importance. I’m anxiously awaiting the results and at least a hint of what is occurring.
I had seen the earlier letter from the whistleblower's attorney in a post on Bluesky, so when I saw this from Sen Wyden my mind immediately went to that also. And, I agree, Wyden isn't a grandstander who just blows things up to make a name for himself. So, for him to do this is even more concerning.
Love how this administration always hides everything they claim is “nothing to see here.” It’s both laughable & makes you want to pull your hair out. Corruption plus ineptitude is a horrible combination.
It may be the ineptitude that saves our aspiring democracy. Previous Republican administrations have gotten away with (literal) murder because they were competent. And smart enough not to alienate the millions upon millions of voters who were getting screwed by their economic policies but didn't notice because they were cheering so loudly for the racism, sexism, etc.

Wyden had been doggedly following the money on the Epstein Files. Might (also) be a connection.

So much seen and unseen in this arena that is seriously anxiety producing.
My immediate hunch was that Sen. Wyden has evidence that the CIA is operating in the U.S. Which it is absolutely NOT supposed to do.
Hasn't Wyden been investigating the money trail behind Epstein? That's the real story that noone is talking about.

I appreciate your work.
Waiting impatiently.
Wow

Appreciate the perspective Charlotte, thank you!

Has anything happened since this letter that has shed light on what it might have been about?
