Thanks, Charlotte. I didn't like Charlie Kirk, but this will only hurt the ones that the far right is looking for reasons to hurt.

That’s all that they need…a martyr. Let the conspiracy theories begin.

Charlotte, As always your point is expressed so well. The shooting was pointless, senseless violence which will only make things worse. Thanks for your courage and clarity.

You said it the best it could be said. Violence isn't "cool" or "neato", no, a man lost his life, a man with terrible views we know, but it's wrong to shoot someone, it's cowardly.

I totally agree. Charlie Kirk was a horrible person, but killing him solves nothing, and the last thing we need is to create a martyr.

I would say most, if not all, gun violence in this country is political.

Particularly that waged against our school children

Thank you, Charlotte! Agree a million percent. This is awful and tragic. And the right is spinning it against the left...the demons that we are...so that's fun.

Can we PLEASE get some commonsense gun laws NOW?!!!! Strict laws please. (says the gun owner with a conceal carry permit)

I completely agree Charlotte, I will not mourn for him, and I think that his assassin has opened the gates of a new violent hell in which many lives will be lost as MAGA thanks their revenge and Trump mobilizes his secret police against all opponents. I want the worst for Kirk’s assassin.

I agree with you 100%!

Political violence solves nothing.

It is going to come out that he said (in SLC last year),

“I think it’s worth the cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have our Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. It is rational.”

“And then they came for me.”

I am not celebrating but I can hope that the story when told points this out!

May his family find Strength and Comfort for the days to come, this is horrible and tragic.

I could not agree more, Charlotte. This insane act has put our entire nation in more danger than ever. I will not grieve for him, but I care about his two small children, they don’t deserve this.

Thank you such an insightful view peppered with the colorful words that so eloquently express everyone's frustration and fear. Truly hope this doesn't become the powder keg that sets off a civil war

I agree with you 100%! I was never a fan of Charlie Kirk and he had a wife and kids(really young toddler age). Violence never solves problems!
