Interviews such as this one, are so important. Most of us only hear from some members of Congress, such as Senator Warner, in very short video clips or headlines. It's important to hear from them in longer segments so we can hear what they stand for.

Senator Warner, I appreciate the work you've done and your public service. I appreciate this interview, which gave me some insights.

But I really have to question Schumer and your conviction that the Republicans will ever change, and your marvelous patience as you wait for that miracle to occur. The 6-8 Senators you are looking for, no matter what they say to you, will never change. You are all buddy boys, you have that old boy network going, you believe you are doing the smart thing, you think you have an inside track on what they are thinking--but these men (and the very few women, who are more reprehensible than the men, except for Murkowski) will never ever change.

You said it yourself: you don't want to be their conscience. You shouldn't have to BE their conscience. They have literally betrayed their oath to serve America, they have shown what cowards they are and continue to be, so why are you still so trusting? This is the definition of insanity.

Their fear of Musk and Trump is far greater than their fear of American citizens or Democrats, and the only thing that will make them think twice about submitting to their Dear Leader is if they are physically and personally threatened even more than Musk and Trump have done to them. If they think they will end up in Guantanamo Bay serving a term because they violated their oaths and betrayed America and abandoned the Constitution, it might change their minds.

But you will never make such threats, because you continue to assume they will come to their senses. Watch what they do, not what they say in private to you. Have they ever shown any inclination since Trump came into power to stand up to him? Never. And chances are low they ever will.

So what is your plan if these morally bereft men and the few desperate 'pick me' girls who slavishly support Trump never change?

Where is your Plan B, sir? The clock is ticking. Democracy is slipping away.

This was good! Thanks for doing it. Also, I like how your chairs were angled toward each other instead of the "face-off" situation trump seems to favor.

Would have been more confident in his analysis if, after so much experience on the Intelligence Committee, he did not refer to CIA employees as “agents,” which they are not.
