Aside from the fact that most people know an alcoholic cannot just stop drinking, his draconian ideas about gender and sexual orientation should rule him out for the position. He fired a black General and a woman Admiral because he’s a raging racist and misogynist.
I wonder if these people know that there’s a good chance that they run into someone intersex almost every day. My youngest is 47 XXX and unless I tell you, you’d have NO idea and with more older women having babies and doing the genetic testing, these numbers will probably go up. (She was a HUGE surprise when I was 41 and NIPT testing told us all about her chromosomes.)
I’m inclined to believe that when he was in the military, perhaps Hegseth didn’t measure up to those who were not of his particular persuasion and could not and cannot handle that.
If you carefully parse Hegseth's press conference, you can see almost all of the human frailties on display. Fear. Loathing. Hate. Dishonesty. Hubris. Bigotry. Meanness. Stupidity. And beneath it all, he knows that he is not up to the job. So, let's add self-loathing to the list.
