Well said. Talk about not judging a book by its cover. I too, have been impressed by Zelenskyy's wearing of fatigues and not donning some sort of uniform. He isn't trying to bring attention to himself; he wants the attention of the world on his country and its people.
He is a warrior wearing *his* uniform. The same uniform we've seen him in in pictures since April.
Note that, unlike many of his day to day tops, this one had a beautiful & subtle Ukrainian symbol on it. (Many are unmarked in any way).
And what would have happened if he'd worn a suit and tie?
The same pundits would have replied that clearly the situation in Ukraine wasn't drastic, maybe is (as the GOP loves to claim) some sort of scam or theatre - "...after all, he had the time to put on a suit! Anyone who's ACTUALLY fighting for survival has no time for suits...."
Those critics are bad faith actors.
And for God's sake, Boebert & Co: if you can't be arsed to sit politely and at least *look* like you're paying attention, then stay the fuck home. You shame us all with your performative disinterest.
