Thanks for this story, Charlotte. I started in my middle age. Pregnant at 18, I did what so many of use born in the 60s girls did. I married and endured. It was not pleasant. I sold my property and started a company in 2002. Sold it and got offered a position at a big tech firm. 10 years later, I am healthy, happy, successful by any measure, in love, and on my way to the next chapter of life. I have experience and capability that my younger peers lack. I have contrast. There is much worse in the world than a bad day at work. Life teaches you so many humbling lessons. I hope to continue in my work for another couple of years, then off to see if I can help solve senior care. It's never too late.

Thank you! I needed this so much today. Im 42 and I started a business 2 years ago. I sometimes feel I went backwards in life. I feel my life is almost over and why did I start this, Im too old. Society makes us feel that way for sure.

I started writing romance at 46. Going pretty well. Luckily I've found myself in an industry full of women, at a time when I don't have to be personally present to network. So a lot of ageism bypasses me.

I'm laughing that I told you to make changes before the age of 50... and it turns out that you have a much better attitude than I do! Just subscribed. So glad for GU paths crossing!
