Do not apologize for being optimistic. It takes great courage to be an optimist. We need to stay courageous. Thank you for all you do.

Everyone who put their heart and soul into trying to avert what has happened deserves a lot of praise and love. The good fight for fair and equal treatment of all groups will continue.

I am devastated this morning. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and xenophobia won this election.

Never apologize for optimism; sometimes it’s the best of what we have. Thank you for all you do and have done, and all you will continue to do Charlotte, because that is who you are. 🙏

Charlotte, you have *nothing* to apologize for. How could anyone listening to Kamala Harris not be optimistic. She's amazing. Inspiring. We were all buyoed along by her campaign. I believe in my heart that all that good work will sustain us moving forward. Yours too!

The vibes were so positive that I couldn’t have envisioned this outcome. I feel like I live in an alternate universe. Take care of yourself. As Joyce Vance says, we are in this together.

Charlotte, I adore you. I don’t think you should be apologizing. Many of us were optimistic. We needed to be. I appreciate you more than you know and you matter so much. My mom got to meet you once and I’m jealous. Sending you so much love and solidarity from Colorado.

Please don't apologize for anything - thank you for being part of, and sharing with such grace, the America we know is possible. She has some outgrown skin yet to shed but our movement and community are a beautiful glimpse of who she can become. Thank you for being part of her with us.

I've made a lot of friends along the way that I will stay in touch with. I've seen tens of millions of people fight for democracy and I will remember that forever. I'm not saying this to inspire toxic positivity or optimism but I know that throughout history, people who have gone through the worst of the worst have been able to survive (and thrive) because of the community around them. And I've hugged so many of my new friends, old friends and family today. And I've found such an amazing community these past months that I will treasure for my life.

Sending love and hugs to everyone here and you Charlotte 💙💙.
