"The Medal of Honor is so revered that a fragile, cowardly, insecure, and deeply narcissistic piece-of-shit like Donald Trump can't stand knowing he'll never receive a similar universal respect." Yeah, copy that.

Thank you for explaining all of this. Of course, it never occurred to me to denigrate anyone who served in the military unless maybe Mike Flynn and Ronny Jackson. But comparing a civilian honor vs a military one - WTAF?

That’s the damned truth! I served with honor for 26 years… the fact that a POS like Donold Drumph presented the MoH to a military member makes me ill.

My first awareness of the Medal of Honor was Audie Murphy, and ever since hearing his story, I gained immense respect for its recipients. For anyone, especially a former CIC, to denigrate that enormous accomplishment truly disturbs me.

Tfg himself diminished the Medal of Freedom by awarding it to political donors who did nothing to earn it. Both Rush Limbaugh and Madelaine Adelson were strictly wealthy people who stroked his ego.

Former President Trump probably wanted to express his admiration for Rush’s success in pandering to the worst instincts of a worshipful cult.

My ancestors, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, was the first woman to receive the Medal of Honor. They tried to take it back and she refused. She wore it proudly everywhere. In 1977, President Jimmy Carter reinstated her recipient status to active. Please Google her, she is a HERO.

Thank you Charlotte. I have noticed a MOH winner in our local cemetery- wanted to learn his story. It just galls me that any service member would be disrespected by that awful excuse for a human that is the GOP candidate for president. And his disgraceful sycophant vp candidate who dares to lie about his competitor’s military record is no better. Let’s beat them at the voting booth so resoundingly that they slink away as the cowards they are.

Thank you, Charlotte! I didn’t realize the gravity of receiving one and how little respect Trump continues to show active and veteran military members.

I cannot for the life of me understand why ANYONE in the military would support TFG when he says things like this. Unless they're just racists/misogynists and have embraced the hate that DJT represents.

What a perfect closing summation. As a fellow veteran, I truly can't understand how anyone who wore a uniform can support him - POS indeed!

Well done, Charlotte. Your comparisons are succinct and are powerful lessons or reminders of exactly the reprehensible nature what Donald Trump’s words.

Thank you for making clear the incredible significance of the medal of honor. Trump is so depraved he has no understanding of sacrifice, can not even grasp why anyone would give their lives for our country. Several of my family members served, in particular my father in the Navy during WW2, and all of them are owed every ounce of respect I can muster. Thanks to you for serving as well.
