Thank you, not only for thoughtful writing but just for having the energy to battle the unnecessary toxicity on Twitter. I guess I have become a Twitter elitist, giving info and letting people discuss it among themselves. Nothing is more off-putting and wasteful to me than being dragged into something by someone whose only goal is to goad you into dragging them up. But that may be that I don't have the energy for it, at least consistently. You are always there for all of us, and there are a lot of people appreciate you, even if we are watching from the outskirts.

I think you are doing the write thing! And, clearly you have more courage in your little finger than I have in my whole being.
You expressed some concerns about Counter.Social regarding the site's safety. I have been a card-carrying member there for about three years. It is the one place I can actually speak up and know I will be heard without having to put up shields. It is a more complex UI, but there is a lot to offer in terms of meeting a wide variety of folk who all love discourse. I will be logging in today and finding your account so I can follow you there as well as on Twitter.
I do not plan to leave Twitter as I agree that reasonable people need to keep their place in the platform as long as we can.
Counter.Social has been a quiet place in a world gone mad, but something tells me that the influx of Bird Refugees, our quiet town is going to be a little messy for a bit. Give everyone time to get their wings tucked in and settle in for real talk with real people. No Bots allowed.
The disinfo war is definitely not going away. But we all need a space where we can relax and be respected. I think you will find that to be the case at CoSo!

Thanks again for all your work!
I admire your courage in staying to fight the disinformation war on Twitter. I'm in wait & see mode. Thanks for the intro to Counter Social.😍
