Amen sister! It is just before 6am EST and I am still keeping my fingers crossed for Osoff.....but even if he doesn't hold on, Abrams is still one of the main reasons Biden won and Trump LOST. Her intelligence, tenacity, grace, and ability to see something larger needed to be done is exactly what is missing in most of todays leaders. The unwavering dedication she shows to people that have felt excluded or "uncounted" may just prove to be the end of Cocaine Mitch and his horrid self serving cohort.
Though I live in Canada, I remain a very loyal American citizen. My last state of residence is - you might have guessed - is Georgia! I was so very proud and humbled in 2016 to vote for Sec Clinton and my personal hero, John Lewis. Filling in that circle brought tears to my eyes.
Now this year, I was again so excited to send in my ballot TWICE and see Georgia turn blue!! Who woulda thunk?? I walked around with so much hidden glee in my head!
I said all that to say -- I cannot describe how proud I am to have even a tiny shred of connection to Stacy Abrams! We are both major Star Trek fans and we are both proud Georgia voters. I am filled with joy this week!
