"We need Democratic lawmakers to finally acknowledge that their good faith intentions will not be reciprocated by their Republican counterparts.

There's a time for nice speeches, and there's a time for deploying every single procedural tactic within one's power to make life hell for unrepentant fascists."

Amen, Charlotte. Amen.

I'm so disgusted more and more daily by this administration. We have TWO Senators in California. If these morons don't know how to identify them by their face, even after they verbally identify them, then maybe this isn't the job for them...even though we know this excuse is BS. Whatever is being done to check this administration isn't enough. Every citizen and elected official needs to do more. We cannot stand for this.

Watching Padilla being handcuffed gave me flashbacks to January 6th.

Trump administration needs to expunge the word “respect” from their vocabulary.

Senator Padilla is every bit as entitled of respect of this unqualified, undeserving, ridiculous Sec of Homeland Security.

Trump had to scrape absolute bottom to fill his cabinet. The only qualification they need was absolute fealty to Trump.

Yeah, but someone else just as willing to kiss the ring would be there instead. The seat was you g to be filled by a sycophant either way. However, they shouldn’t have voted for any of them on principle. At least it couldn’t then be thrown in their faces that they approved this mess in any way.

Surprised to see Warnock, Merkley, and Wyden on the non-voting list.

McConnell created chaos and destruction on his back foot. Why can't Jeffries or Schumer oppose all this treachery? When I call my senators and rep (and I am in a blue city in MN) I ask them to be louder. Much louder. I do not think most Dems are doing their jobs. Half-@ssed defense is not sufficient for the current playing field.

Dems got to do better. At present they are followers (mostly). We, the people, are the leaders.
