The predictable right-wing snowflakes reveal that they are NOT followers of Jesus without saying so. ‘By their fruits you will know them.’ The right wing is morally rotten to the core and their reactions to Leo XIV prove it.

Absolutely this: "It has to be exhausting to be so intentionally hateful and perpetually enraged like this." I still ask myself every single day: Why does MAGA base their voting on "owning the libs"? What did the "libs" ever do to them? Brought us the five-day workweek, paid vacation, OSHA, Medicare, Social Security, road safety, food safety, air/water safety and so much more. WHY so much hatred from MAGA against the libs? And why are they still mad, even after their cult leader has been elected? When will they ever be happy? I think you're right - they never will be.

Brilliant. I hadn’t seen MAGA folks from the perspective of never happy/always complaining, but that’s exactly what’s happening. You’ve given me much to think about. I’ve decided to call it Insatiably Cruel Eeyore Syndrome or ICES.

Thank you Charlotte. Long-

lapsed Catholic here, and delighted with the new

pope. I was surprised at how hopeful he has made me feel.

Also lapsed here, or perhaps boycotting a faith that still has difficulty with women. In any event, I was worried about the direction the cardinals would take. I was relieved they did not u-turn from Pope Francis. I am praying that Pope Leo XIV can make inroads, maybe make empathy popular again.

As Sharon McMahon put so succinctly, "Why are Christians the meanest people on the planet?". They have been taught to hate in Jesus's name and they don't seem to know it. What I haven't seen is Catholics rising up to defend their new Pope or denounce Evangelicals for crapping on their faith.

Imagine there's no countries

It isn't hard to do

Nothin' to kill or die for

And no religion, too

Imagine all the people living life in peace.

It’s amusing to me that there is now an American man who has far more followers than the felon. Pope Leo XIV has 1.4 billion followers, and the felon only 77 million.

Spot on, Charlotte. They are NEVER happy & they will NEVER be happy because all they’ve got in their shriveled hearts is hatred & cruelty & malice. Heaven forbid the actual Pope would follow the teachings of Jesus.

This is so well said, Charlotte. They cannot bear anything or anyone who challenges their worldview even in the slightest and yet they whine CONSTANTLY about being persecuted and victimized. I totally agree that it must be an exhausting and miserable existence. Whilst I’m here, let me just say how glad I am for your leadership and your work. I love reading your pieces, thank you so much for the nuanced and excellent thinking.

Yup, good Christians, the lot of them. Christianity to them is like an outer garment that they put on, as a disguise.
