While maybe not the most polished host, I was absolutely charmed by his enthusiastic YES! and sense of awe when a contestant got a correct answer. That is just what the show needs in my opinion.

So. Damn. Good.

Charlotte, you nailed it. Levar Burton exudes kindness and we could all use a whole lot more of that these days.....😘

This is so beautiful, Charlotte. You've captured the essence of what it takes to get someone to be a reader. I have worked on developing reading curriculum for more than 40 years, and I've seen pedagogies wax and wane in popularity. Some work with some kids, and some work with others. Teachers are heroes in my book with all they do to get our kids to read and to think. But you have Identified a key part of turning kids onto reading—the sense that they can and will do it. LeVar Burton provided onramps to the joys of traveling the reading highway for so many kids. It's a gift not only to those kids but to society. Good readers tend to be good critical thinkers. I want him to be the host of "Jeopardy" too, and you've zeroed in on exactly why he would be so good at it.

Thank you, once again, for sharing your own experience to make us look at something in a new way.

I agree wholeheartedly. He is a national treasure and would be perfect in this and at this time. As always, your words resonate. Thanks, lady.
