To see anybody objectified is painful. It is especially painful when those who are being objectified have only just recently begun to share the gifts they bring to the world as their full selves. I am so tired of the BS about sports. I think it is because everyone thinks their little Madison or Olivia is going to get a soccer scholarship to Stanford. I thought what Newsom did was shameful. Trump's ad was fear-mongering, plain and simple, and if this is the best response Dems can come up with we are all in trouble. I apologize on behalf of Californians for our governor's inability to discuss this issue with any compassion or nuance.

Oh what a week it’s been. The trans sports ban discussion is nothing but wedge issue to get voters to side with the right and is an on-ramp to the maga mainstream. Not only is this topic of bans wildly lacking in evidence to support it, there just aren’t the numbers of trans athletes to make it even an issue. There are maybe 5 elite trans athletes in the US. Don’t even get me started on the state avg of trans kids playing sports in a given state which was 0 or 1 kid for any state prior to instituting a ban. I’m so sick of this, and I’m done with Newsom. Siding with a white nationalist, rabid anti-lgbtq+ misogynist does not earn you votes. And if that’s what your kid is consuming then we know how Newsom’s household runs. Done!
Yeah it must've been a pretty sucky week for the Trans community. I'm so sorry. I hope this stops Newsom's career cold. I noticed Kamala Harris mentioned running for Governor of California. Huh.
I need your voice to stay on top of transgender issues here in the US. I have a transgender friend in the UK, and I know he's watching the developments with as much trepidation as the rest of us, trans and allies together. Thank you for making sure we know what's most important in the fight for acceptance & equality.

I’m disappointed in Gov Newsom. He arguably has the strongest voice, not because he’s running in 28, but due to CA economic contribution.
But he seems determined to not confront Trump.
Transgender care is human care.
