Thank you for sharing, so eloquently, your personal life story. I am married with 4 children and 4 grandchildren and come from a large family. A niece has transitioned to a nephew; 2 nephews have transitioned to nieces and I believe another nephew will come out in his/her own time. God made us all, in his/her likeness, we are perfect in our imperfectness.

Thank you friend. I’ll be right here being all loud and trans.

Heading out now in -7 degree wind chill to proudly hang my Trans Pride flag to billow in the winter wind! I'm sorry I didn't do it as soon as I heard about this ridiculously cruel EO. I am horrified by everything this POS is and stands for. Pretty sure we all know where he'll be spending eternity, but he'll continue to needlessly hurt a lot of people between now and then.

Charlotte, thank you for expressing this so clearly.

In 2017 my brother told me he voted for Trump because if Democrats had won, "We'd have 99 genders." I am still kicking myself to this day because I didn't think to respond, "And how would that be skin off your nose?"

I just don't get how easily so many people are led around by the nose by the rage machine. You are a stronger person than I am to feel sorry for them. We owe you so much!

Yes, Charlotte, and every other action the vile one takes to distract the populace from their own pain will hurt those least able to withstand it. We begin a dark time today. May we all be there for each other shoulder to shoulder and arm in arm.

Let our resolve be our action. Our day is not today, but it will come, of that I am certain! 🌅

Trying not to look up from my chardonnay so I can avoid the multitudes of TV monitors at DCA, I nevertheless peek long enough to see this cross my screen. Thank goodness, and thank God for you, Charlotte. God is looking at EVERYTHING she made, and it is ALL very good!

You are a much better person than I could ever be, Charlotte. All I feel right now is anger and I cannot summon an ounce of sympathy for those you are able to feel sorry for. Thank you, as always, for the light you bring to this world.

Once again, spot on analysis, written with clarity & truth. Thank you. The question, “how does this actually, truly affect your (homophobic) life?” needs to be asked over & over & over again.

I'm so sorry. When I heard this "plan," my heart broke for you, Charlotte, and for all trans folks; for intersex folks; for those who don't fit neatly into someone's ignorant binary definition of sex. But most importantly, my heart is breaking for nonbinary children and teens, who seem to be the target of so much of this hate, and who will clearly be victims of depression, suicide or abuse. No one can change who folks are. God doesn't want to. Why should we?

Charlotte. Thanks as always for your true and helpful words and for your huge capacity to feel compassion for others even as they blame trans people for their own problems.
